Dr. Mayur Goklani did his MBBS and internship from MGM Medical College Aurangabad. He was the final year MBBS topper of his batch. He went on to do post-graduate training in General surgery from Dhoot Hospital, Aurangabad. After a short stint as surgery registrar in Hedgewar Hospital, he got selected for Plastic Surgery at the prestigious Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences, Mumbai.

He is a board certified Plastic surgeon, with a keen interest in Hand Surgery, Burns management, Cancer Reconstruction, Cosmetic Surgery amongst others.

Consultation

A consultation is a time to see the possibilities of what we can achieve for you. It’s a two-way conversation that should help you answer the following questions:

  • Is cosmetic surgery the right option?
  • If so, which procedure or procedures are appropriate?
  • To know more about the surgeon who will perform the procedures?

The surgeon will examine your areas of concern. Sometimes one consultation isn’t enough to feel 100% ready to move forward. If so, call and ask for a second consult.

Procedures

Cosmetic procedures can help improve your appearance, confidence, and overall outlook, but also involves many choices. Cosmetic surgical procedures may not be as severe or lengthy as certain medical surgeries, but they are still a form of surgery and should be elected with a full understanding of the process and with caution. Like any other surgical procedure, patients begin the process by receiving anesthesia. After the procedure is complete, patients are moved to a recovery room where they are monitored while the anesthesia wears off and until the patient is able to walk and drink liquids.

When ready, patients are allowed to return to the comfort of home, in some cases on the same day. Depending on the procedure, patients will have gauze and bandages wrapped around their incisions.

Our concern continues until recovery is complete.

Follow Up Care

Your doctor no doubt has already given you instructions for the immediate care you need after your cosmetic surgery. But cosmetic surgery is not like other surgeries. Follow-up involves a commitment by you and your doctor to maintain your new look for as long as possible.

Please keep in mind it may take several weeks or even months before you can accurately evaluate your new look. Be sure you give yourself enough time to heal from the procedure you had before you analyze the results.

The specific follow-up care you’ll need is going to depend on the type of cosmetic surgery you had.
